The Postmusik Salzburg was invited to open the season of the Hotel Miramar in Opatija (Croatia) for the fifth time. In keeping with the tradition of the former summer holiday region for the noble class of the times of the Austrian Monarchy the orchestra gave a splendid spring concert under the lead of conductor Franz Milacher. In addition to solo performances by Sylvia Halek with the Concerto Italiano for bassoon and Tobias Speigner with Granada on the alto saxophone, the program also included excerpts from the operetta Season in Salzburg where Diana Paul and Max Prodinger impressed as vocal soloists. Astrid Hinterberger-Stumpfl interpreted If I Never Sing Another Song by Udo Jürgens. Another highlight of the concert was Mirno More composed by Gerhard Kofler. Postmusik Salzburg’s stay at Hotel Miramar ended with a morning concert in typical Austrian style. Postmusik Salzburg thanks Directrice Martina Riedl and Dr. Wilfried Holleis for the invitation to Opatija.
